Frequently Asked Questions

I recently acquired a collection from a relative. How much is it worth?

The Indiana Stamp Club does not value, buy, or sell stamps or collections. The value of stamp collection is based mainly on rarity and condition.  You can bring the collection or a representative selection of it to our meeting and one of our dealer members can give you a rough idea if it is worth keeping, trying to sell or donating.  Or you can bring it to one of our 4 stamp shows held at the same location as our meeting.  See the list of events for dates. If you are not local to the Indianapolis area, we can direct you several dealers in the state.

I'm a beginner collector; will I be welcome?

Everyone is welcome at our meetings. Beginners to veteran collectors. Come join us a guest and see if this for yourself.  You don't have to be a member to visit a meeting.

What if my collection is not worth selling and no one in my family wants it?

Our Youth Group is happy to receive any stamp related materials.  They need stamps, albums, and other stamp collection tools.

What does it cost to be a member?

The basic adult membership is $15.  Spouses and children under 18 are $1 each.  Youth under 18 without parental membership is $2.50.  Membership dues are a due on Jan 1 of each year. See membership application here
